HIGH is a party organized by a FLINTA collective aimed at creating a safer FLINTA-to-the-front space for an ecstatic and sex-positive experience with a darker atmosphere shaped by industrial techno, EBM sounds and glitchy psychedelic live visuals. The German acronym FLINTA stands for Frauen (women), Lesben (lesbians), Intersex, Non-binary, Trans and Agender people. I joined the feminist collective in the spring of 2024, and manage the HIGH community across social media, with our most important channels being Instagram and Telegram. I also support our Awareness and Security teams at events, acting as an additional point person for our community members.
I began managing the HIGH community with HIGH Tech, which was also a soli-event and afterparty for the 2024 Eclectic Tech Carnival, a feminist tech skill-share event. In announcing this event, our Instagram account saw an immediate increase in followers, interactions and reach:
